“On Monday, August 24, a Leon County judge rejected portions of the state emergency order requiring the reopening of brick and mortar schools in August. However, the state has now appealed the judge’s ruling, which means it is currently not in effect. That being the case, Alachua County Public Schools will continue to move forward with its existing reopening plan. That plan includes a brick and mortar educational option and two online options–the Digital Academy and Alachua eSchool. We will continue to provide updates on this situation as more information becomes available.”
